MBSR Course Content
The practice of Mindfulness enables us to interact with life and those around us in a more responsive, relaxed manner. We may feel more content and happier and our experiences of the pleasurable things in life are deepened and enriched. Less of our time is spent in “automatic pilot” and more of our time in the “here and now". Mindfulness focuses the mind and promotes self-compassion and kindness and can give us the ability to let go – let go of stress and anxiety, of the constancy of thinking, of reliving the past or pre-living the future.
In this 8 week course Amy will teach a range of meditations, techniques and coping strategies to help you deal more effectively with your psychological or physical difficulties in a new way, enabling you to feel more content, in control and at ease. The programme lasts for 8 weeks and each session is for 2 hours. You need to attend a minimum of 6 of the 8 sessions to gain your certificate. Catch classes will be available (paid) and are recommended if you miss any sessions.
